Born in Des Moines, Iowa, JoAnna attended the University of Missouri–Kansas City, followed by technical training at the ROLM/IBM Technical School and the MCI School of Telecommunications and Data Communications. These academic foundations set the stage for her early career in the tech and finance sectors.

Career Milestones

  • Spent 9 years in the data communications industry in Kansas City before moving to Arizona to pursue her entrepreneurial ambitions.
  • Became a founding partner of Computer Support Professionals, Inc. in Phoenix, where she was responsible for client acquisition and grew the company’s client base by 300%.
  • In 1995, she chose to liquidate her investment in the company and relocated to Tucson to marry Bill Westcott.
  • Continued her career in financial services, earning widespread respect for her analytical approach and communication clarity.
